Reset Fasting Blog - Day 10...

We're almost halfway through this adventure of prayer and fasting...

If you're observing the Daniel Fast, by now you're probably more than ready for things like chicken, beef, burgers and pizza... Oh, I'm sorry... Shouldn't have filled your mind with images of mile high burgers, two inch think deep dish pizza and mouth watering fries... There I go again...

Just kidding, guys and gals... But suffice it to say that you are probably ready for something besides fruit and veggies.

But hopefully, you are also growing in your relationship with God. Prayerfully you're finding that some long besetting sin is losing its hold on you. Prayerfully your desire to passionately pursue God's presence is becoming more intense and your passion to conform to the image of Christ is increasing.

Keep this in mind, halftime is crucial. If you're a football fan you know that halftime is usually when adjustments get made that determine the outcome of a game.

The next ten or eleven days will probably be crucial in determining your entire experience during this 21 day adventure. I want to challenge you to lean hard on Christ, to depend on the Holy Spirit and to persevere.

Maybe these words from Hebrews 12:1-2 will encourage you to persevere.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish."

Remember, I'm praying with you as we continue this adventure together.

Keep on running!
