DEATH BY LOVE

Mark Driscoll is the founding and lead pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle. According to Mark, Seattle is the most unchurched city in the U.S.

Driscoll is one of my favorite authors and speakers. Confessions of a Reformission Rev is an incredible book that provides a candid look at the first ten years of Mars Hill. It is riveting stuff. Sometimes if feels like you're reading something out of the book of Acts...

Earlier this year, Driscoll published Vintage Jesus. An excellent book on the person, work and ministry of Jesus Christ. Great stuff.

Recently, Driscoll published Death By Love. The focus of the book is on the atonement - the work of the cross and and what it means to our lives.

Here's what I love about Driscoll. He is "in your face," no holds barred in preaching the gospel in the language of this culture. You may not agree with everything the guy says, but he's going to present a solid case for his beliefs based upon the truth of Scripture.

I also love to hear Driscoll preach. Messages by Driscoll are available on the Mars Hill site, the Acts 29 Network site, Resurgence and i-Tunes.

Here's a video with a creative overview of Driscoll's newest book, Death By Love. I just ordered it from Amazon and look forward to digging in.
