FIVE ESSENTIALS FOR EVERY WOMAN!

Some time ago I ready bout a woman whose husband came home one day to what he could describe only as s war zone. He walked into the house and in the kitchen, the dishes were stacked high in the sink. There were half eaten sandwiches all over the kitchen, spilled cereal in the floor, mounds of laundry scattered throughout the house.

He walked into the living room and his wife was on the couch under the clutter of used newspapers and tons of toys.

She looked up at her husband and said:

“You know how you ask me everyday when you come home from work what I do all day long… Well, today I didn’t do it…”

One of the things that I discovered several years ago is the fact that Mother’s Day evokes a variety of emotions. For some, Mother’s Day is a good day. You are happily married. You have children. Your kids like you. Your mother is living and you and your mother actually get along. For some of you, Mother’s Day is a really good day…

Then there are others, and for you Mother's Day is a rather difficult or painful day.

Some of you don’t have children because you’re not married, but you would really like to be married... So Mother’s Day is a painful reminder of your present marital status.

Some of you are married and desperately want to have children, but as of yet, yours prayers for a child have gone unanswered and Mother's Day causes you to "twinge" with a little pain...

Some of you have lost your mom, and whenever Mother’s Day rolls around it’s a fresh reminder of that loss.

A few years ago, I ran across a list of five ESSENTIAL TRUTHS every woman can't live without... So, regardless of the emotions you may be experiencing as we approach Mother's Day, check out this list... Maybe it will encourage you...

1. God Loves You!!!

On those days when you feel unlovable and all alone, remember the fact that you are loved by God.

Isaiah 54:10 (NIV), Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken.

2. You Are Valuable!

A couple of years ago I read that Salary.com calculated the annual salary for a “stay at home mother of two” who works – they say – an average of 100 hours a week…

Do you know what these mothers would make if they received a paycheck for their work?

Salary.com suggested that the annual base pay for a 40-hour stay-at-home mom’s workweek would be $43,461. But a mother would earn an additional $88,009 a year for 60 hours of overtime each week, making the annual salary for a stay at home mom over $130,000.00.

If you are a mom, realize that you’re incredibly valuable!

Proverbs 31:10-12 (NLT), Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies. 11Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. 12She will not hinder him but help him all her life.

3. You Don’t Have To Be Perfect!

Really! You don't! Despite the pressure you sometimes feel from the media, your spouse, family, friends... You don't have to be perfect...

4. We Appreciate You!

Many women wonder, “Does my husband appreciate me? Does my family appreciate me? Are my children aware and are they thankful for the investment I’ve made in their life?”

Husbands, kids, daughters…one of the greatest gifts we can give our wives and mothers is the gift of sincere, genuine, personal, practical and continual appreciation.

5. You Are Making A Difference!

One hundred years from now, the size of house you lived in won’t really matter! The size of your financial portfolio won’t be an issue! The value of your estate won’t matter! The only thing that will matter is that you made a difference in the lives of the people God entrusted to your care!

You really are making a difference... Your love, time, touch, character and commitment speak volumes... Thank you for who you are and all that you do.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
