Chris, Your father was a real man of God. We will never know the impact he had on so many lives until we are all rejoicing around the very throne of God. My parents were charter memebers of Watts Bar and I grew to your father is cheering us on now knowing that before long the trumpet of the Lord will sound and we will all be reunited again. God bless you, Love, Dotty Herd
Thanks so much for your kind words, Dotty. It was an honor to see you and Chuck. It's my prayer that God continue to bless, strengthen and sustain you.
My heart goes out to you guys. I know what it is like to lose a parent. It is draining - and you will think of him often. Your dad was always someone I liked to talk to at church stuff. I liked him.
I couldn't be there because I was traveling back from Maine at the time of the services. I would have been there if I could.
Grace... I was born on November 27, 1964 in Chattanooga, TN and grew up in a small Southern town surrounded by a couple of parents who loved me, three younger brothers, great grandparents and loads of aunts, uncles and cousins...
Grace... When I was an eight year old kid I was irresistably drawn by the Holy Spirit to ask Jesus Christ to forgive my sin and lead my life... This decision forever changed my life... In fact, for the last 34 years I've experienced the wonder, mystery, beauty and grace of a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.
More grace... At the age of ten I met the girl I would ultimately marry. She's the only girl I've ever dated... Janet (that's my wife) and I have been married for almost 25 years (June 2008). Wow! Time sure flies when you're having fun...
God has blessed us with three incredible girls. Our oldest girl is a sophomore in college... Our middle girl is a sophomore in high school... And our youngest is in second grade... What a ride!
If one word could describe my life it would be GRACE... About 34 years I stumbled into grace and my life was changed.
